Invitation to the Civil War Authors Book
Mart
Historic Blenheim is pleased to announce its 2nd annual Civil War Authors Book Mart on Saturday, February 27, 2010, 12- 4pm. We would be honored to have you as one of our authors at this event. The book mart is held in the Civil War Interpretive Center in our program room and adjacent atrium. The format, like last year, has authors discussing and selling their books, or DVDs, to the visiting public.
The “Book Mart” serves a fundraiser for the preservation efforts of the historic site. We request that each author/producer:
*bring his or her books, etc., to the event to sell and sign. Tables provided.
*donate 20% of your sales that day go towards Historic Blenheim’s preservation
activities. Donations are made to Historic Fairfax City, Inc., a non-profit City
board that supports preservation and historic site efforts throughout the City.
Receipts and/or letters from HFCI will be provided for all donated funds for tax
purposes.
* manage all purchase transactions (any sales through our gift shop go directly
to the City of Fairfax general fund)
*light lunch will be provided
Set-up time begins at 11:00am. I am extending an invitation to all authors to arrive at 10:00am for a tour of the house and the gallery for those who have not been to Historic Blenheim before.
