Title: "An Early Encampment: Ten Years in the Dirt" Club member Roland Frodigh will be presenting on an early, yet to be identified, Civil War camp he located in the late 1990s. The talk will include slides and videos of the relics & their actual recovery from the ground. Many of the camp finds will be on view for inspection including bottles and pipes along with the bullets. buttons and coins. The location of the camp finds will be detailed for interpretation by the club members. He'll be discussing surface, pit and hut excavation strategies and techniques, detectors and shovels, sifters and probes, what worked, what didn't, landowners and permission, and opening up the talk for question and comment from the newbie and veteran relic hunter alike.
