OUR MEMBERS

Our membership is over 250 strong and growing.

An average of 75 to 100 members attend the meetings each month.

All members are mailed a monthly newsletter. This newsletter keeps
the members up to date on the past meeting, lastest finds, next
meetings speaker, 50/50 winner, latest club news and announcements
and finally, news articles relating to relic hunting and the Civil War in
general.

All members are issued membership cards that must be displayed
when entering the meeting room.

Non members are allowed to attend the meetings for a fee of $2
collected by the secretary at the front door.

Our membership includes people from all walks of life and professions.
They include Doctors, Lawyers (no Indian Chiefs that I am aware of),
Authors, Historians, Archaeologists, Government workers, Secretaries,
Construction workers, Professors and most other occupations you can
think of.

Members and their guests are invited to the annual club picnic and
relic hunt put on each year. Only members, who have paid their dues
by the announced date are allowed to participate in the relic hunt.
This rule is strickly enforced. Many great prizes are awarded in the hunt
and there is plenty of food and drink to be enjoyed by all. The top prize
awarded is a new metal detector. See "OUR YEARLY CLUB PICNIC" in the index.

Many of our members live out of state and even some out of the country.
The newsletter keeps them abreast of the current club happenings.

Many of our members are publishers of Civil War reference books
used by Civil War collectors and historians alike. See "BOOKS PUBLISHED
BY OUR MEMBERS" in the index.

The cost of becoming a member of the Nothern Virgina Relics
Hunters Association is as follows:
$35 per year for a "Family" membership (Immediate family only)
